Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup frozen vegetables
  • 3/4 cups Chinese sausage (cut into ½" thick rounds and then halved 2 links)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 egg (lightly whisked)
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • green onions for garnish

Steps

  1. 1. Rinse rice in a mesh strainer. Make sure to shake out excess water well.
  2. 2. Add the rice, broth, garlic, onion, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar and butter. Then give it a swirl to mix together.
  3. 3. Add the vegetables, sausage, and a beaten egg on top of the chicken broth.
  4. 4. Set rice cooker to cook or start (depending on the cooker functions).
  5. 5. When done, fluff with a fork and top with green onion and serve.
